The Legal Trainee will work closely with the Senior Legal Counsel and the wider GCC management team assisting with the following but not limited to:
Contract Management:
Reviewing drafting and proofreading various commercial agreements including Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) service contracts vendor agreements and lease agreements ensuring compliance with local laws and internal policies.
Assisting with the establishment and maintenance of the contract database and filing system.
Legal Research and Analysis:
Conducting in-depth legal research on diverse topics including commercial law corporate law labor law regulatory compliance data protection and anti-bribery/anti-corruption laws with a specific focus on GCC jurisdictions.
Preparing legal memorandums and summaries of legal and regulatory developments impacting Air Liquides operations in the region.
Corporate & Compliance Support:
Assisting with corporate secretarial duties including the preparation of board resolutions powers of attorney and maintaining corporate records for various local entities.
Supporting the implementation and monitoring of internal compliance programs and policies (e.g. Code of Conduct Competition Law and trade sanctions).
Ensuring compliance with entity Delegation of Authority (DoA).
Litigation & Dispute Support:
Gathering and organizing documents and evidence in preparation for potential disputes or litigation.
Liaising with external counsel on active cases and administrative proceedings.
General Administrative Duties:
Managing and organizing the legal departments documentation files and correspondence.
Assisting with general administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the legal function.
Education: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent from a recognized university. Candidates currently pursuing their final year of study or those who have recently graduated are welcome to apply.
Legal Knowledge: Basic understanding of commercial law contract principles and familiarity with or a keen interest in the legal framework of at least one GCC country.
Language Skills:
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
Fluency in Arabic (written and spoken) is essential..
IT Proficiency: Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and strong ability to use legal research databases.

Proactive self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
