Job Description
We are seeking a machinist familiar with turning machines. Sets up and operates a variety of machines in machine shop including but not limited to; milling turning drilling grinding etc. Able to work to close tolerances working from drawings with little or no guidance.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines (mills lathes or multi-axis machines)
Load programs install tooling and set work offsets
Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers micrometers gauges)
Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
Maintain accurate production and inspection records
Follow all safety quality and company procedures
Collaborate with engineers programmers and supervisors to improve processes
Experience & Education
- Previous manufacturing experience (3 years)
- Willingness to learn
CNC programming experience (G-code Mastercam Fusion 360 etc.)
Experience with tight tolerances and high-precision parts
Knowledge of tooling feeds speeds and materials
Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
