About the Position
The Closing Coordinator is responsible for preparing and reviewing pre-closing and closing documentation for all loan types including Conventional FHA VA and USDA as well as state-specific bond programs. Enter pertinent loan application details in the loan origination system and maintain the integrity of the data input including revisions as necessary. The Closing Coordinator may complete multiple documentation checklists and review loan files before closing to be sure all documentation is obtained.

Essential Functions:
- Review residential loan application files to verify that application data is complete and meets company standards
- Make necessary changes by following established standards
- Recordkeeping data on the status of loans
- Communicates with necessary associates on loan documentation not found during the review of loan files
- Communicates effectively with title companies to efficiently balance loan figures.
Competencies:
- Able to adhere to a work schedule including prompt and regular attendance and availability to work overtime occasionally
- Good computer skills. Good knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet functions
- Comfortable in a fast-paced deadline-driven constantly changing work environment often on a tight schedule
- Excellent communication (verbal & written) and analytical thinking skills customer service is driven and open to learning new ideas & new approaches to everyday issues - all in the effort to meet the clients expectations whilst staying within the integrity of our investors
Education and Experience:
- Must be able to work with a significant amount of detailed information in an accurate timely and confidential manner
- Knowledge of closing practices mortgage documentation recording practices title/abstract legalities
- Three (3) plus years working with and/or comprehensive knowledge of the mortgage industry is required
- Three (3) plus years experience with Encompass Loan Origination Software System is preferred
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.

An employee must meet the physical demands described here to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. No or minimal physical effort is required. No or minimal exposure to physical risk. Work is generally performed in a typical office work environment.
