Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Manager with 8-10 years of progressive accounting and financial planning experience to lead financial operations and financial transformation projects. The successful candidate will oversee general ledger close processes month-end accounting operations investment accounting and financial planning activities. The Manager will lead finance transformation initiatives focused on General Ledger (GL) Close FP&A and Record to Report operations within Financial Services firms. This role requires a strategic manager with extensive process expertise and proficiency in technology platforms (e.g. Oracle Workday Adaptive PowerApps) to drive significant value. The Manager will leverage process improvement methodologies and technology as enablers to achieve operational efficiency and enhance accuracy through best-in-class processes and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chart of Accounts Mapping & Redesign: Design implement optimize Chart of Accounts structures that align with reporting requirements. Lead CoA mapping during ERP implementations ensuring seamless data translation. Develop dimensional hierarchies and account coding standards to support multi-entity consolidation and reporting.
- Management of GL Close Activities: Lead and manage the complete GL close and month-end accounting cycles ensuring timely accurate and compliant financial statement preparation. Review journal entries reconciliation procedures and account analyses to ensure financial statement integrity. Coordinate inter-company eliminations consolidation adjustments and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Investment Accounting Operations Oversee investment accounting operations including security transactions valuations reconciliations and reporting. Prepare investment performance reports reconcile investment holdings and manage regulatory compliance for investment portfolios.
- Transformation Initiatives: Support strategic finance transformation programs including ERP implementations system migrations and digital process redesign.
- Comprehensive As-Is Assessments: Conduct detailed assessments of current Finance processes including planning budgeting reporting and finance close utilize process mapping and modelling tools viz. Visio ARIS and identify areas for improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT Tax Treasury and Operations to drive integrated finance transformation and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Technology Transformation: Establish automated close processes and eliminate legacy systems through process redesign. Implement advanced accounting platforms viz. Workday Workiva Blackline Tagetik Trintech and spearhead finance transformation initiatives.
Key Skills:

- Investment Accounting: Strong experience in Investment Accounting NAV calculations and securities management with valuation expertise
- Deep Understanding of FP&A Processes: Extensive knowledge of FP&A processes including forecasting budgeting finance close intercompany accounting financial reporting standards and management reporting.
- Finance Transformation: Proven experience in conducting As-Is and To-Be process assessments process redesign and continuous improvement methodologies.
