Job Description
As a Security Guard - Licensed Patrol Rounds in BRONX NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence that can help discourage incidents and support staff and visitors with strong customer service and communication. You will complete routine rounds observe for security-related concerns document activity and report issues promptly. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff visitors and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a government services setting.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public resources as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including entrances lobbies corridors stairwells and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Control access by monitoring doors and visitor flow verifying identification and/or credentials when required and directing individuals to appropriate service areas in accordance with location procedures.
- Complete routine reports and incident documentation communicate significant activity to site leadership and support investigations by preserving observations and maintaining a professional presence.
Minimum Requirements:
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- A minimum of 1 years of security experience is required.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Applicants must be 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
