Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage an operation business unit or part of a production facility in order to reach defined targets in quality cost delivery and safety. Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards. Team management of salaried employees. This does not include production supervisors who oversee hourly employees.
- Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
- Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
- Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management manufacturing technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
- Own all SQDC aspects of manufacturing or repair cell
- People development (production & salary)
- Accountable to OEE roadmap deployment
- Wing to wing view of the value stream
- Line Capex
- Notify Major Repairs to the Planner
- Coordinating training maintain training profiles in the matrix capability
- Technical Support to the repair process
- GE Capital Parts Purchase Requisitions
- Handle witness points - conduit to customer
- Type 2 problem solving conduit to AMRT
- Ensure manufacturing processes documentation at latest revision level - conduit to ME
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in mechanical electrical mechatronics manufacturing Industrial or related Engineering discipline.
- Significant experience in the Manufacturing Engineering & Operation Management with a knowledge level comparable to a Masters degree
- Legal right to work in México. We will not sponsor individuals for legal permits or visas.
- Fluent Spanish - English with full bilingual proficiency.
- Lean Manufacturing proven experience
- Able to form and integrate new teams - able to design and start new parts repair processes
- This position is an on-site role at the Morelia Repair Center
