Te tūranga The role
In this role you will undertake Quality Assurance and Testing for ESAS and NZClear to improve the quality of the systems and infrastructure delivered by our external vendors to the Bank. You will contribute to the delivery of Group and cross-functional strategies develop and maintain external relationships and act as second-in-command for the team manager.
Additionally you will support strategic planning of testing activities be involved in governance reporting and stakeholder engagement manage and perform test executions identifying and escalating risks and issues. As a senior member of the team you will support and mentor other team members with their personal development.

Were looking for a collaborative worker who can work to deadlines effectively. To be successful in this role you will have:
Software testing experience plus time spent in leadership roles within complex financial or payment systems environments
Skilled in agile delivery practices (Scrum Kanban) and DevOps integration including CI/CD pipelines and test automation within release workflows
Experience with modern automation frameworks and tools (Selenium Cypress Playwright) and familiarity with AI-driven testing solutions
Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement initiatives
Proven analytical and lateral problem-solving abilities
Sound judgement and the ability to think holistically across a broad range of issues
Proven ability to act as second-in-command with excellent communication and leadership skills including coaching capability uplift and fostering collaborative team culture
ISTQB Certification
