Shift: MondayFriday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (Day Shift)
Weekend Requirement: One weekend per month

Compensation

Gross Weekly Pay: $2285
W2 Rate: $21/hour
Weekly Stipend: $1414

Position Summary

A leading academic acute care hospital in Syracuse NY is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist II for a 13-week contract assignment. This role provides comprehensive occupational therapy services to patients in both acute care and outpatient settings.

The Occupational Therapist will evaluate develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at restoring function improving independence and enhancing overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and assess patients functional abilities and rehabilitation needs
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide therapeutic interventions in acute and outpatient settings
Educate patients and families on treatment goals and home programs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards
Ensure compliance with safety infection control and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
Active New York State Occupational Therapy License (or eligibility)
Minimum of 2 years of professional OT experience
Acute care and outpatient experience required
Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

Preferred Qualifications

NBCOT certification
