The PCR (Pharmacotherapeutics and Clinical Research) Department at the University of South Florida Taneja College Of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time 12-month non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in Community Pharmacy Practice. POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will include primarily teaching (Didactic and Experiential) and clinical practice. Research/scholarly activity and service to the college and the profession will be expected as time allows. Didactic teaching will be aligned with expertise. All clinical faculty must maintain a practice site suitable for experiential learning. The responsibilities will focus on providing clinical pharmacy services to one of our many community partners in the Tampa Bay Area. The faculty member will work closely with the pharmacy team to strengthen clinical implementation provide teaching and mentorship and support growth of new position reports to the PCR Department Chair.
TEACHING: 40% as assigned;includes didactic interprofessional and experiential settings
CLINICAL DUTIES: 40% Efforts may be dedicated to activities that align with the incumbents professional discipline.
SERVICE: 10% as assigned
RESEARCH: 10% Efforts May be dedicated to research activities that align with the incumbents professional discipline.
Responsible for student success coaching mentoring and related activities.
May represent the university college/school or department/unit on university and/or professional organization committees.
MINIMUM:
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited academic program
Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Florida
Prior experience as a pharmacist at a community-based pharmacy practice for at least 2 years or greater.
Meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor.
For Associate Professor: Must have strong record of research/publication teaching service and clinical experienceat an accredited academic program.
PREFERRED:
Prior teaching experience in a Doctor of Pharmacy program.
Completion of a PGY1 residency program in Community Based Care
Strong clinical interest in medication therapy management remote patient monitoring and transitions of care.
Candidates with joint degrees (MPH MHA MBA etc.) in addition to a PharmD.
Candidates with board certification from BPS or other credentialing from an accredited body.
