The Butler programme is the heart and soul of the legacy hightouch personalised and exquisitely delivered. As Assistant Head Butler you will support the Head Butler in orchestrating this hallmark service ensuring that every guest journey from prearrival to departure is seamless anticipatory and deeply memorable.
This role is ideal for a luxury service professional with impeccable attention to detail a passion for creating meaningful guest connections and the ability to lead and inspire a team in delivering truly bespoke experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting Butler Service Operations
- Assist the Head Butler with daily operations of the Butler team ensuring service quality exceeds expectations
- Support all prearrival preparation guest communication and VIP coordination
- Oversee the Butler Service Desk to ensure efficient and elegant service delivery
- Assist with daily standups communicating updates priorities and service goals
- Prepare checkin and VIP lists helping allocate team assignments and resources
- Uphold privacy discretion and confidentiality for all guests especially VIPs
- Reinforce consistent execution of brand standards and signature Butler rituals
Guest Relations Excellence
- Build rapport with VIP and repeat guests actively gathering preferences and anticipating needs
- Lead by example to ensure the team delivers warm intuitive and personalised service
- Support the resolution of guest concerns with poise professionalism and grace
- Engage with guests throughout their stay to ensure satisfaction and enhance their experience
- Encourage the team to use brand service recovery processes to delight guests
Team Leadership & Development
- Support the Head Butler in leading coaching and developing the Butler team
- Mentor new butlers and valets to deliver uncompromising service
- Promote a culture of trust respect and crossdepartmental collaboration
- Assist with staff scheduling training and daily supervision of team performance
- Help ensure coverage across the department and assist Front Office leadership as needed
Operational & Financial Support
- Support the management of departmental costs and inventory of supplies
- Help monitor labour needs to meet business demands while balancing efficiency
- Assist in reviewing operational data to support continuous improvement
- Help maintain compliance with all standards operating procedures and luxury brand expectations

- Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a 5star hotel or luxury environment
- Strong decisionmaking and problemsolving skills with a calm and confident presence.
- Experience engaging with VIP and highprofile guests demonstrating discretion and emotional intelligence.
- A passion for personalised anticipatory service and consistently flawless execution.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lead mentor and inspire a dedicated butler team.
- Professional presentation with exceptional attention to detail.
- Confidence in anticipating guest needs and responding with discretion and precision.
