The Innovative Education (InEd) Digital Learning Training and Support Team (DLTS) develops and delivers award-winning skill-building resources for USF online faculty through a variety of mediums including on-demand support consultation workshops digital (PDF) guides instructor certification and more. DLTS spearheads the creation of institution-wide digital learning resources for faculty students and serves as an institutional leader in the research of enterprise-wide digital learning systems the evaluation of new and existing digital learning platforms and pedagogical best practices for digital teaching environments.
The Digital Learning Media Producer supports the Innovative Education Digital Learning Training and Support Team (DLTS) in creating high-quality digital learning experiences for USF online faculty. This role leads the production of instructional media including course introduction videos audio content tutorials and faculty training materials while maintaining high production standards across all projects. The position manages studio and event technology operations provides hands-on technical support for live and hybrid events and guides faculty through both full-service and DIY production workflows. By combining expertise in media production instructional support and emerging technologies the Digital Learning Media Producer advances innovative effective digital teaching practices across the institution. Please note that this role may require workoutside standard business hours (9am - 5 pm) including the support of occasional evening and weekend events as needed.
Digital Learning Media Production: Supports online faculty in the production of digital learning content including but not limited to course introductory videos instructional content podcasts & audio and other quality-driven course media assets using state-of-the-art facilities tools and technology. Record edit and produce multimedia assets using professional audio/video tools. Maintain and enforce quality standards for all digital media produced by the unit. Design and develop digital learning materials including training guides (PDF) tutorials and other content dedicated to building the skills of USF instructors. Support faculty in developing DIY content through the Faculty Production Room a dedicated space for creating videos audio and screencasts. Support online faculty in using tools in the Digital Learning makers space including 3D printers VR/AR/XR and fabrication technologies to design and produce physical models and props for integration into instructional videos and immersive learning experiences for online courses.
Audio/Visual and Event Support: Oversee all AV operations for events workshops and faculty development sessions. Provide on-site and in-studio technical support for audio/video recording livestreaming and hybrid event setups. Troubleshoot AV and technology issues to ensure seamless delivery of content and events.
Studio & Technology Management: Manage and maintain all digital learning production spaces and event technology including but not limited to LED volumetric stage A/V production equipment and production sets and props. Ensure equipment is updated operational and configured to support a wide range of digital learning and video production needs. Recommend technology upgrades and innovative solutions to advance the units digital media capabilities.
Provide support to faculty: Provide exemplary support to faculty through the production lifecycle. As needed provide consultation and support to faculty through Teams email and workshop sessions. Provide training to faculty producing DIY content through the Faculty Production Room. Additional duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelors degree in Film Digital Media Educational Technology Communications or related field. Proven experience in video production digital content development and digital learning media creation. Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud or similar professional media production tools. Experience managing studio environments audio/video equipment lightening editing software and media production workflows. Portfolio of work and reel demonstrating mastery of production tools to create effective digital learning content.
Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelors degree.

Minimum Qualifications that require a high school diploma are exempt from SB 1310.
Preferred Qualifications: Extensive experience in video production in the development of digital learning media. Experience working in the support of higher education faculty. Knowledge of online learning technologies. Evidence of using effective project management principles for event planning video production or similar projects.
