What Youll Do
Serves as a member of a multidisciplinary technical security team providing a broad range of support to a comprehensive Technical Security Program comprised of the Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) and TEMPEST elements outlined in Department of Energy (DOE) 470.6. The primary duties focus on conducting TSCM security services to detect deter and prevent unauthorized technical access to government facilities equipment and/or information and possible loss of sensitive or classified information. The candidate must have the appropriate skillset and knowledge base to prepare and submit detailed reports for each service conducted and provide research services and advice to contractor and DOE security personnel on national and international developments using commercial state-of-the-art technical security addition the candidate will assess evaluate and take the actions necessary as a technician to maintain/ensure that all TSCM operations/programs are functioning as required in accordance with established TSCM policies and procedures.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience typical relevant experience ranging from 7 to 10 years.
- OR Masters degree: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience typical relevant experience ranging from 7 to 10 years
- OR PhD: No experience.
- OR applicants without a bachelors degree may be considered based on a combination of at least 12 years of completed education and/or relevant experience.

Preferred Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in electronics or computer-related discipline with at least 7 years related experience or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
- Possess basic skills and proficiency with electronic test and measurement equipment.
- Experience performing TSCM surveys inspections and monitoring of radio frequency signals.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements concepts practices standards and processes for multiple security disciplines to include counterintelligence.
- Experience working independently and/or as part of a team while conducting assessments analyzing results and developing and executing sound solutions to complex and highly sensitive problems.
- Graduation from an approved federal Technical Surveillance Countermeasure (TSCM) course is preferred.
- Possess effective oral and written communication skills for presenting formal and informal briefings and coordination and liaison activities writing reports letters and other documentation.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to independently manage competing priorities balance rival goals of a technical mission with security requirements and complete multiple projects and assignments in a timely manner.
- Ability to travel occasionally lift over 50 pounds in a safe and controlled manner climb and work at heights work in small enclosed spaces and occasionally work irregular shifts as related to TSCM assignments.
- Possess an advanced level of knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
- Computerized telephone systems and instruments
- RF analysis
- Electronic test and measurement equipment
- Acoustics
- Intrusion detection systems
- Communication systems
