Job Summary

Mentor Technical Group (MTG) provides a comprehensive portfolio of technical support and solutions for the FDA-regulated industry. With offices in Caguas Puerto Rico and Boston United States we serve life sciences clients in six global markets: United States Puerto Rico Dominican Republic Mexico Germany Canada and South America.

Responsibilities:

  • Design implement and maintain local and wide-area networks (LAN/WAN) to support operational and production needs in FDA-regulated environments.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance security and connectivity issues to ensure minimal downtime.

  • Collaborate with IT engineering and project teams to support system integration validation and compliance requirements.

  • Implement network security measures including firewalls VPNs and access controls to protect sensitive data.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of network architecture configurations changes and incident reports.

  • Support audits inspections and regulatory compliance requirements related to IT infrastructure.

  • Recommend and implement improvements to optimize network performance and reliability.

Qualifications / Requirements / Knowledge / Education / Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Network Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum of 510 years experience in network engineering IT infrastructure or system administration preferably in regulated or life sciences environments.

  • Strong knowledge of network protocols switches routers firewalls and wireless technologies.

  • Understanding of regulatory requirements data integrity and compliance (GxP FDA 21 CFR Part 11) is a plus.

  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.

  • Experience with network monitoring tools VPNs and cybersecurity best practices.

  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across IT engineering and operational teams.
