One of our clients needs a Construction QC Inspector in Laurel MD for a long-term contract position.
- Title: Construction QC Inspector
- Location: Laurel MD
- Position Type: Onsite
- Clearance: Secret.
Responsibilities:
- The QC Inspector will ensure the contractor implements an effective quality control (QC) program and uses the provisions daily to control the quality of the work.
- Review contract deliverables and submittals for conformance and perform daily inspections to verify all work is in strict compliance with the contract and request correction of any deficiencies.
- Develop a construction QA plan for each project including inspection testing and reporting procedures as well as plans for monitoring corrective actions taken by contractors.
- Prepare daily written QA reports recording all discussion with contractor QC staff as well as deficiencies.
- QA reports should be completed and submitted within 48 hours.
- Participate in the pre-construction meetings for each construction work item requiring such by the QA plan.
- Monitor QC inspection and testing activities performed by the contractor. May include working some nights and weekends as the project schedule dictates
Required Skills:
- Four-year degree in construction management engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years construction management and/or craft supervision experience commercial or Government construction projects.
