The Haslam College of Business (HCB) at the University of Tennessee Knoxville invites applications for a Digital Marketing Writer (Full-time Exempt) to join our Office of Marketing & Public Relations. The Digital Marketing Writer is responsible for writing editing and optimizing written content that supports the colleges marketing and communications efforts. This position creates audience-focused content for releases web stories websites social media videos podcasts email campaigns and digital marketing initiatives applying SEO and GEO best practices to improve engagement visibility and performance. The role requires strong writing editing and organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders across academic and administrative units.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
Three (3) to six (6) years of professional experience in digital writing content development or marketing communications.
Demonstrated experience writing for digital platforms.
Working knowledge of SEO principles and content optimization.
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Skilled in both AP and Chicago styles.
Strong written communication editing and proofreading skills.
Ability to translate complex information into clear engaging content.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of campus stakeholders and audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in higher education nonprofit or public-sector communications.
Background in research translation.
Background in writing and ideation for digital marketing campaigns.
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) email marketing platforms and social media management tools.
Experience using analytics tools such as Google Analytics or similar platforms.
Knowledge of accessibility standards for digital content.
