Description
The Agronomy Yard Attendant supports daily agronomy operations by maintaining fertilizer equipment and facilities loading and unloading products and providing excellent customer service. This role helps ensure a safe clean and efficient work environment while supporting team operations.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload dry fertilizer trucks safely and accurately.
- Operate and maintain fertilizer equipment including dry spreaders and NH3 tanks.
- Fill NH3 tanks and maintain accurate inventory and maintenance records.
- Transport products and materials as needed.
- Keep fertilizer buildings yard and shop areas clean and organized.
- Assist with basic equipment repairs and tire work as needed.
- Provide prompt professional customer service.
- Follow all safety policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support other departments as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid CDL (Commercial Drivers License) preferred or ability to obtain one within a designated timeframe.
- Company will assist with CDL training and/or reimbursement for qualified candidates.
- Agricultural or mechanical experience preferred.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work in outdoor environments.
- Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude.
