Job Summary
Provides service to patients including transport escorting meal and snack delivery linen and tableware setup and light cleaning.
Responsibilities
patient of diet change and concomitant changes in menu selection in conjunction with nursing/nutrition.
patient and patients guest with menu selection.
delivery of newspapers and magazines.
and sanitizes surfaces as needed.
meal service including meals from the Kosher Kitchen to patient room or designated dining area setting up with appropriate table linen.
ambulatory patients to and from the areas outside the unit.
refrigerator with nourishment appropriate to patients diet upon request.
control of the patients chart while the patient is off the unit and releases charts only to authorized personnel.
certain patient is ready to receive delivery of meal in coordination with nursing.
patient appropriate menu after consulting with nursing/nutrition.
cleaning of walls windows furniture and other items as needed.
deliveries to the floor as requested.
patient on a stretcher or wheelchair to and from or outside the unit.
patients belongings and luggage to and from the unit.
patients with items as needed such as linens unit literature and other related items.
Qualifications
High School graduate or GED
0-1 year experience
Collective bargaining unit: SEIU 1199-MSH
