Integration Lead, Azure API Management

ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Americas Division implements and supports Oracle J.D. Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP applications. The organization leverages Azure API Management to integrate the JD Edwards ERP platform with other enterprise systems across all business units throughout the Americas.

The Integration Lead with Azure API Management specialization will report to the Commercial Segment organization. The integration lead will work on managing and supporting integration of APIs with ERP ecosystem software. The Integration Lead will also coordinate the development and documentation of consolidated divisional standard operating procedures for Integrations in ERP and its ancillary systems and then drive the implementation of these standards while working as a part of the various ERP integrations and production support teams.

This position will sit full-time in New Haven CT reporting to the Director of Enterprise Applications.

What you will be doing

• Translate business and integration requirements intosecure scalable and high-performance API solutionsusing Azure API Management.
• Analyze design and recommendAPI-led integration patterns and best practicesaligned with Azure Integration Services.
• Design implement and maintainAPIM policies including:
• Security and authentication (OAuth2 JWT subscription keys)
• Traffic management (throttling rate limiting quotas)
• Caching transformation and request/response mediation
• Monitor troubleshoot and optimize API performance reliability and availability to ensure seamless integrations and user experience.
• Implementlogging monitoring and dashboardswithin APIM and Azure Monitor / Application Insights to debug issues and visualize API usage.
• Collaborate with internal teams andexternal third-party vendorsto enable and govern API integrations.
• Maintain clear and accurateAPI documentation including OpenAPI (Swagger) specifications configurations and operational procedures.
• Stay up to date withAzure APIM features security updates and industry best practices continuously improving solution design and delivery.
• Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance integration services using cloud and middleware technologies.

What we are looking for

• Strong hands-on experience withAzure API Management (APIM).
• Experience withMicrosoft Azure Integration Services such as:
• Logic Apps
• Azure Functions
• Service Bus
• Solid understanding ofAPI-led architectureand RESTful API design principles.
• Experience implementingAPIM policiesfor security traffic management and transformations.
• Knowledge ofAzure networking concepts including:
• Public and private endpoints
• VNET integration
• Access to secure resources
• Familiarity with Azure services such asBlob Storage Logic Apps and related cloud components.
• Experience withAPI logging monitoring and analyticsto support troubleshooting and usage insights.
• Basic understanding ofERP systems preferably JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to support end-to-end business process integration.
