Join us as a Placement Worker and be part of something bigger.
As a Placement Worker you will play a vital role in ensuring children and young people in care are matched with safe nurturing and appropriate foster care placements. By carefully assessing referrals and working closely with carers and support teams you will help create stable environments where children can thrive and feel supported.
This is a full-time ongoing position based at Hindmarsh with Hybrid working arrangements available.
Youll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:
Receiving and reviewing placement referrals from the Department for Child Protection and assessing placement suitability.
Matching children and young people with available foster carers considering household dynamics safety and individual needs.
Maintaining accurate records documentation and reporting in line with legislative and organisational requirements.
Applying trauma-informed culturally responsive and child-centred approaches in all placement decisions.
To thrive in this role you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work or a related discipline.
Strong assessment and decision-making skills with high attention to detail.
Sound knowledge of the child protection system and experience working with complex family and care environments.
Strong self-care resilience and self-management skills to support work with complex and emotionally demanding material.
