The Manager International Accounting will oversee a team that supports EOGs current international operations as well as any new ventures. The position is located in Houston TX with the key responsibilities below:
- Oversee a team of approximately 10 employees and contractors with oversight of:
- Accounting for revenue volumes expenses capital expenditures and intercompany transactions
- Vendor onboarding and accounts payable
- Contract reviews for proper accounting
- Monthly forecasting and budgeting
- Staff development and mentoring
- Work closely with management and commercial teams to provide support on accounting forecasting and financial analysis for current operations as well as potential transactions.
- Work closely with local in-country accounting teams to ensure accuracy of financial data forecasts and analyses passed to corporate.
- Coordinate with the Corporate Financial Reporting team to ensure accuracy of financial data and variance analyses.
- Manage monthly management financial statement preparation analyzing variances from forecast and reporting significant issues.
- Prepare ad-hoc presentations to the executive management team.
- Oversee compliance with accounting policies and procedures and internal controls.
- Coordinate communications with internal and external auditors.
- Bachelors in accounting degree CPA preferred
- 8 years of international oil and gas accounting experience
- 5 years supervisory/managerial experience
- Knowledge of and ability to apply US GAAP/IFRS and understanding of statutory reporting requirements
- Experience in accounting in multiple currencies
- Detail oriented; with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
- Self-motivated with strong management analytical and coordination skills including multi-location coordination skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing and heavily active organization
- Strong communications skills
- Willingness to travel to international offices
- Strong Excel skills required
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
