Job Summary

Role: Transport Mission Architect

Client: Defense-Aerospace

Hourly Rate: up to $73/hr W2 non-benefited

Length: Long-term

Location:Scottsdale AZ

Clearance: Active and transferable TS/SCI DOD issued security clearance is required prior to start date

Ground system design or scheduling knowledge
Ground network designs for DoD missions such as Link-16 IBS SatCom
Tracking mission design knowledge
Satellite communications knowledge
Ground to Satellite communication knowledge
System/Software design for cloud-based microservice architecture

Preferred Technical Background:

Systems Engineering:Proficiency in systems engineering decomposing requirements into architecture internal and external interfaces design behavior with emphasis on:
1. Ground pre-planned or ad-hoc scheduling and situational awareness of satellites and payloads
2. Experience with ground mission data transport handling and analysis
Software/Systems engineering: Experience decomposing the high-level space-ground systems design into ground software/systems design.
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools such as CAMEO or MagicDraw.
Programming and Tools Skills: Familiarity with programming languages such as Java Python and MATLAB including for software developer coordination system analysis prototype algorithm development or modeling.
Cloud Computing: Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment.
Simulation and Modeling: Background in simulation and modeling analysis with tools like STK particularly in aerospace applications a plus

Required Education and Experience:

Requires a Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science Engineering Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5 years of job-related experience or a Masters degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
