Environmental Scientist Student
Purpose
The successful candidate will be based out of Calgary or the surrounding area and support various environmental field programs in southern Alberta. Opportunities to support environmental field programs in other areas of the province may be available.
Responsibilities:
- Participating in safety discussions and associated documentation
- Supporting Phase II environmental site assessment and groundwater monitoring programs
- Potential to support various other environmental programs (fisheries wildlife wetlands reclamation projects)
- Preparing samples for submission to laboratory
- Data entry and analysis
- Assist with technical report preparation
- Operating pickup truck
- Operating a GPS and navigating in remote settings
- Travel as required for various field programs
