Description

As anEmory Photo/VideoIntern in Emory Universitys Department of Communications and Marketing for Summer 2026youllbecome part of a select intern cohortthat will be immersed in the higher education communications experience.Reporting to the Director of Digital Mediayou will be involved in allfacetsof visual communications from photography and videography to photo/video archiving.This unique internship experienceisntjust about supportingday-to-day tasks;itsa boutimmersing yourself in a collaborative environment activelyparticipatingin campaigns with real-world implications and seizing professional development opportunities designed to empower your career ambitions.

Responsibilities:

  • Gain comprehensive insight into the production process covering every phase from project intake and brainstorming ideas to planning filming editing and delivering the final product.

  • Operate professional camera equipmentand help capturehigh-quality video content.

  • Assistin the technical setup for shoots including arranging lights cameras and audio equipment.

  • Collaborate closely with the EPV team in the studio contributing to the teams creative projects and learning from seasoned professionals.

  • Improve access and preservation of our visual assets by managing photography archives.

  • Contribute to Emorys campus by helping organize memorable university events.

  • Dive into a wealth of professional development opportunitiesbroadeningyour horizons andbuildingyour network.

  • Collaborate on a campaign projectfrom conception to execution.

Qualifications:

  • Available for 20 hours each week during thesummer2026semester.
  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree (B.S. B.A. M.A. or M.S.) with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Demonstrated excellence in writing and presenting.
  • Strongrelationship-buildingand client service skills.
  • A detail-oriented and organized approach to tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office especiallyPowerPoint Excel and Word.
  • A positive and professional attitude.
  • Some knowledge of production and camera operation.
  • Experience withproject management software and the Adobe Creative Suiteis a plus.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee
