Whats the role
This role is responsible for how Everyday Banking designs embeds and maintains its business risk and control environment. The focus is on ensuring risks are clearly understood controls are effective in practice and issues are identified and addressed early.
Youll work closely with senior leaders risk partners and control owners to make risk practical well understood and embedded into everyday decisionmaking. A key part of the role is lifting risk and control maturity across the business supporting regulatory change and helping teams manage risk confidently while delivering customer and business outcomes.
The role also contributes to shaping how controls monitoring and assurance operate across Everyday Banking guiding change and turning complex risk information into clear insights that people can act on.
What do I need
- Strong experience in business risk management controls monitoring or assurance ideally within a complex or regulated environment
- Proven ability to influence and partner with senior leaders and stakeholders without formal authority
- Confidence interpreting regulations policies and risk information and translating them into clear practical guidance
- Experience supporting change initiatives and capability uplift across teams or portfolios
- Strong judgement with the ability to assess issues prioritise risks and provide sound pragmatic advice
