Job Summary

The Equipment Technician I is an entry-level role ideal for those interested in a hands-on approach to working with machining and bolting equipment. The primary responsibility of this position includes maintaining equipment as directed by the District Manager or another designated supervisor. Additionally the Equipment Technician I is expected to conduct functional testing of the equipment. This position does not directly supervise others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the Lead Equipment Technicians and Operations Coordinators with general duties including maintaining and preparing equipment for job mobilization etc.
Keep all areas of the shop clean and well organized
Maintain Facility as needed (minor repairs paint etc.)
Assist daily with forklift inspections overhead crane inspections organizations of tools and parts
Assist in preventative maintenance work on equipment including washing prep and painting of equipment
Assist with shipping and receiving of equipment (forklift operations)
Assist weekly with organizing the yard
Adhere to all policies procedures and programs as defined by BlueFin Field Services
Participate in equipment team call rotation. Available for weekend and after-hours work
Other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Industry experience a plus
General mechanical experience preferred
Must be able to become Forklift certified

Physical Requirements

May travel for local jobs if needed
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
Ability to work in harsh conditions
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check drug screen Fit for Duty and / or physical
