Assistant Nurse Manager - Operating Room - Part Time Weekend Days - Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia

Assistant Nurse Managers are responsible for the following:

• With a commitment to patient- and family-centered care the Assistant Nurse Manager works with the Nurse Manager and provides oversight for patient care and nursing services on their assigned unit and shift.
• They promote quality evidence-based care and patient satisfaction in a fiscally responsive manner.
• The Assistant Nurse Manager collaborates with the Nurse Manager in assessment and planning for nursing care.
• She/he assists in leading the daily operations of the unit
• Acts as a resource lead and clinical role model for the patient care team.
• Advances and oversees patient care standards of the unit for the designated shift
• Facilitates and coordinates patient care delivery and flow through the continuum of care.
• She/he carries out the responsibilities of the Nurse Manager in her/his absence with guidance from the Administrative Director
• The Assistant Nurse Manager participates in hiring and evaluation of staff
• The Assistant Nurse Manager collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective operations of the nursing unit.
• She/he supports nursing professional development Magnet and Shared Governance through participation in and mentoring of colleagues on councils and the Clinical Ladder program.

Qualifications for this position include:

• Bachelors degree in nursing required; Masters degree preferred.
• Professional/leadership certification preferred (for example CNOR CEN NE-BC other) within 2 years of hire and 2 years acute care experience required; experience in a similar or like unit is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and management potential.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; BLS required based on organizational guidelines/polices. ACLS and PALS as required by department.
• Certification in specialty preferred.
• OR RN experience a must!
