Job Summary

Position Summary:

The position of Claims Technician is to assist with the efficient claims operations and administration of the different geographical and specialty sectors within the Ryan Specialty business.

London - UK - Fenchurch

What will your job entail

Key responsibilities will include:

Manage and process claims from first notification through to closure spanning across multiple lines of business.
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on claims related queries and issues.
Reporting noteworthy claim movements and updates internally so that the business may assess potential exposures.
Ensure the claims process is properly adhered to and all necessary London Market procedures are followed.
Keep a detailed record of all claims including loss details financials and a claim file.
Produce claim reports and monthly bordereaux.
Arranging payments with the internal finance team.

About you

Skills/Qualifications/Experience

General insurance / reinsurance claims experience between ideally within the London Market and knowledge of the London Market procedures.
Strong team player with a supportive motivating and hands-on approach; confident in contributing ideas and taking ownership of tasks.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships a all levels including senior stakeholders.
Highly organised and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritise tasks and perform well under pressure.
Adaptable and comfortable with shifting priorities; quick to learn new systems and processes.
Proactive problem-solver with a pragmatic mindset self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Experience of working with Microsoft Office applications
