Job Summary
Do you love working with children and creating memorable summer experiences Are you enthusiastic organized and communityâfocused As the Summer Day Camp Coordinator you will lead and deliver inclusive engaging and safe camp programs that help children build confidence make friends and experience a strong sense of belonging. You will coach and support a team of staff and volunteers to ensure every camper feels welcomed supported and empowered throughout their time at camp.

Are you the right fit
- Able to plan develop and deliver fun inclusive ageâappropriate programs
- Able to coordinate daily schedules special events and field trips while ensuring camper safety
- Skilled at supervising mentoring and supporting staff and volunteers
- Create inclusive spaces and maintain a safe supportive camp environment.
- Communicate with parents/guardians providing updates and addressing concerns
- Maintain accurate records (attendance incident reports staff schedules etc.)
- Demonstrate strong problemâsolving skills flexibility and the ability to adapt in a fastâpaced environment
What else do you need
- 2 years experience working with children or youth (camp recreation or similar setting)
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role (staff or volunteers
- Standard First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain prior to start date)
- Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to support inclusive practices and create welcoming spaces for all campers
- Knowledge of safety risk management and child wellbeing practices
- Strong organization and administrative skills
ASSETS
- Postâsecondary education in recreation child development education or related field
Additional childâ or youthâfocused certification
