Position Summary

Performs dutiesrequiredto receive store andmaintainrecords oncomponentparts.The Material Handleris responsible forreceiving storing andmaintainingaccuraterecords ofcomponentparts. This role involves counting verifying and organizing all product components. This job is located on Water Street.

• 100% accuracy on any inventory transactions and quality requirements
• 100% adherence to processes and material usage no deviations

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Responsible forselecting andmaintaining location of raw materials.Opens crates with crowbar.Breaks down empty crates for disposal
• Picks parts from preprinted pick lists and issuesslips.Contacts planner and/or supervisor ifshortageoccurs.Usesscanner formovetransactions.
• Perform a variety of routine duties involved in shipping of merchandise.This includes but is not limited to accurately selectingcheckingand packing merchandise called for in customerorders;weighing shipment sealing cartons applying labels addresses and packing slips and loading merchandise on to trucks.
• Operates virtual scheduler computer scanner and material handling equipment including forklifts electrical hand trucks pallet jacksand step ladder to reach material.Usescrowbar and mallet for crates.Must have all necessary certifications foruseof material handling equipment.
• Carries out proper verification methods as part of the cycle count program.
• Responsible for filling operatingand maintaining automated chip wringer.
• Frequently moves average weight materials (over 5 lbs. and up to 60 lbs.) as necessary in the performance of the job or as directed.Detect and report improper operations faulty equipment defective materials and unusual conditions to supervisor.
• Maintains electric truck and fork truck in good operating condition. Maintains prescribed water level in batteries and plugs in for overnightre-charge.
• Maintains necessary records.Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications

Required:

• HighSchool diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year of experience in warehouse / manufacturing environment
• Ability toattainforklift certification
• Skilled in usingvarious typesof material handling equipment preferred
• Competent to operatecomputerand complete basic data entry in systems
• Must successfully learn specific responsibilities as assigned and adhere to production procedures
• Proficient and functioning in job responsibilities and able toattainManufacturing Process Sheets (MPS)training sign-off within90 days
• Basic arithmetic skills including addition subtractionmultiplicationand division
• Organizational skills
• Ability to push pull lift and/or move materials of up to 30lbs; capable of using hoists for materials over 30 lbs.
• Ability to perform repetitive work requiring constant alertness or activity including standing and lifting
• Ability to use computerscanning devices
• Capable of following verbal and/or written instruction
• Attention to detail is essential for success
• Well organized
• Must be able tooperatematerial handling equipmentsafely

Work Environment

This position works primarily in an office environment usingcomputerand technology.Verbal and auditory capability are required.

Occasional exposure in productionplantwhere large equipment and noise are prevalent.Safety gear isin these areas.
