Position Summary

The Parking Ambassador is generally responsibleforthe successful Iowa State Universityguestparking experience including processingcashlesstransactions andvalidatingpre-sold parking passes.The jobalso includesdirecting vehicles into parking stalls and throughlocationroadways and parking lotsassociated withevent guestsat Iowa State University.

This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00

This position will remain open until May 29 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Matchguestparking passandprovidereal-time guidance to parking location.
  • Process cashless guest payments.
  • Direct vehiclesoncampus roadways and through parking lotsand toparking stalls.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inventory counts before and during events.
  • Provide excellent customer servicebyassistingguestsand employeespromptly and in a friendly manner.
  • May perform other duties to ensure productiveparkingoperationsincluding movingequipmentincluding traffic cones barrels delineators movablesignageand barricadesto ensure efficient operations.
  • Followandcomply withsafety regulationsand standards.
  • Providebasicparking lot upkeepincluding sweeping and light litter removal.
  • Perform other duties as needed to ensure productive operations quality serviceand customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Must have one (1)yearpreviousexperience.
  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • Core customercommunication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player.
  • Must have flexibility to work shifts on weekdays weekday evenings weekends earlymorningsand late nights and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Experience working in the customer service industry is a plus.
