JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for preforming general accounting functions such as daily deposit payables patient refunds miscellaneous billings AVS billings W-9 requests EFT authorizations and Credit Applications. The Staff Accountant also prepares 1099s issued to vendors and monitors annual report filings.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree in Accounting Finance or related field required; Bachelors degree preferred.
3-5 years of general accounting experience including general ledger payables and receivables.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process review match code post and file weekly vendor invoices and patient refunds.
Resolve vendor issues/inquires.
Process weekly check runs.
Manage and maintain daily deposit processing including:
o Print bank statements.
o Prepare checks for deposit.
o Record checks and EFTs in Great Plains.
o Complete daily deposit report for the day.
Maintain vendor records in Great Plains for 1099 filings.
Maintain monthly billing for nursing time to doctor and AVS infusion services.
Complete W-9 requests EFT authorizations and credit applications.
Complete various projects tasks and financial analyses as requested.
Interact with others in a positive respectful and considerate manner.
Perform other job related duties as assigned.
