Job Summary

As a Data Scientist reporting to the Senior Director of Data Science youll play a critical role in building predictive models and machine learning solutions that support Nasdaqs eVestment products and drive business decisions across our technology platforms. You will transform complex data into actionable insights working at the intersection of data engineering product development and AI innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design train and validate predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve business challenges.
  • Clean preprocess and analyze large datasets to ensure data quality and extract meaningful insights.
  • Implement AI solutions including NLP and computer vision applications leveraging pre-trained models and vector databases.
  • Create informative features from raw data to improve model performance and interpretability.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Monitor model performance in production identify data drift and iterate to improve accuracy and reduce bias.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science statistics mathematics data science physics or related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 25 years of experience in a data-centric role such as data analyst data scientist or research assistant.
  • Proficiency in Python and ability to write complex SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation.
  • ML and AI: Scikit-learn XGBoost Statsmod PyTorch Keras Hugging Face Transformers LangChain Anthropic APIs.
  • Data Manipulation: Pandas NumPy SQL
  • Clear communicator with strong collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
  • Prior experience in financial services fintech or capital markets.

This position will be located in Atlanta and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office subject to change providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
