Job Summary
Were looking for a Consulting DevOps Engineer (AWS) to join our Ghana team. This is a highly customer-facing role where youll act as a trusted technical advisor and hands-on builder. Youll work directly with engineering teams CTOs and technical stakeholders to architect implement and optimize AWS environments that are secure resilient and cost-efficient.
You will play a key role in designing building and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure while collaborating closely with internal teams and external clients to deliver reliable secure and cost-optimized solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure
Design and deploy secure production-ready AWS environments
Architect multi-AZ VPCs Transit Gateway routing VPC peering and hybrid connectivity (VPN)
Build resilient architectures aligned to AWS best practices
DevOps & Automation
Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Terragrunt
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions AWS-native tools)
Deploy and manage containerized workloads on EKS and ECS
Manage secure private Kubernetes clusters
Cloud Migration
Lead lift-and-shift and modernization initiatives
Execute application migrations using AWS MGN
Perform database migrations using AWS DMS with minimal downtime
Security Compliance & Optimization
Design secure architectures aligned to compliance standards (e.g. PCI-DSS HIPAA)
Implement IAM best practices and network segmentation
Identify and remediate cost inefficiencies across cloud environments
Balance performance reliability security and cost
Customer Engagement
Serve as a subject matter expert on client calls
Translate complex technical concepts into clear actionable guidance
Support architectural decisions and prevent technical misalignment
Build strong relationships with customer engineering teams
Requirements
35 years of hands-on AWS experience across services such as EKS ECS EC2 RDS VPC Transit Gateway IAM and networking
Strong Infrastructure as Code expertise (Terraform required; Terragrunt is a plus)
Deep working knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS Helm autoscaling private clusters)
Experience designing and managing complex AWS networking setups (VPC peering VPN route tables security groups NACLs)
Hands-on experience with CI/CD automation and DevOps best practices
Experience with AWS migration tools such as DMS and MGN
Strong problem-solving and architectural thinking skills
Ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
