Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Chartered Landscape Architect for the Architecture & Urbanism (A&U) division within the Places global business area. This position can be located in Birmingham or Manchester UK.

Arcadis is seeking a creative motivated and Chartered Landscape Architect to join its growing UK Landscape Architecture this role you will work on a wide range of landscape environmental regeneration and infrastructure projects contributing to some of the UKs largest and most complex developments.

You will work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams engaging with inhouse specialists and highprofile external designers. Projects span largescale masterplans new towns publicrealm strategies Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) and diverse locallevel schemes across all sectors.

Role accountabilities:

  • Lead and contribute to landscape design across concept detailed and implementation stages.
  • Prepare highquality drawings sketches and digital models to communicate design concepts.
  • Undertake Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) and contribute to environmental statements.
  • Support master planning urban regeneration and green infrastructure strategies.
  • Manage small to mediumscale projects autonomously including programming and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project outcomes.
  • Work closely with clients local authorities consultants and community groups to shape project outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships and communicate effectively through reports presentations and meetings.
  • Adhere to the Landscape Institutes Code of Conduct and uphold high professional standards.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development and knowledge sharing. Based on chartered standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
  • Strong design skills including hand sketching and visual communication.
  • Experience producing LVIAs and environmental assessment work.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD SketchUp and other relevant design tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrable reportwriting experience.
  • Experience in delivery of small and medium sized schemes essential largescale masterplanning and infrastructure projects preferable
  • Understanding of environmental planning regeneration and sustainability principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary settings with urban designers engineers and planners.
