Must-have Skills
- Strong expertise in Kafka including Kafka Streams and Kafka and dbt skills and agents.
- Experience with at least one of TypeScript Kotlin Python or Java.
- Hands-on experience in managing Kafka infrastructure (not limited to AWS MSK).
- Proficiency in debugging upgrades and resolving Kafka broker issues.
- Solid understanding of Kafka configuration and scalability best practices.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes Docker and Airflow.
- Experience implementing monitoring and maintenance strategies for Kafka infrastructure.
- Experience integrating Kafka with other platforms and systems.
Nice-to-have:
- AI Tooling Proficiency: Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work including drafting analysis research or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
- Experience in cloud environments such as AWS.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for deploying and maintaining Kafka services.
- Knowledge of security best practices for Kafka.
