JOB SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with sales project management production and installation to ensure customer needs are met
- Design Megadoor systems (shop drawings assembly drawings bills of material)
- Assist in manufacturing issues (e.g. design modification to accommodate supply chain issues)
- Assist with installation issues (e.g. design modification to accommodate integration with building steel)
- Represent the department in client-facing project engineering discussions
- Prepare and maintain product technical documentation
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D or 3D. AutoCAD Mechanical and Inventor knowledge is a plus.
- Strong analytical/theoretical background with solid engineering design fundamental skills
- Experience working on projects from specification through to execution required
- Experience with preparing drawings for manufacturing required
- Exceptional communication and time management skills
- Commitment to meet schedule due dates
- Positive ambitious attitude
- Experienced with Microsoft Office products
- Exposure to Python C# C VB or other coding languages is a plus
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- BS Mechanical engineering or similar technical degree preferred
- Minimum (5) years previous working experience in a technical role required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHSICAL DEMANDS:
- Office environment
- 10-20% travel to job sites
- Prototyping / lab validation work
- Ability to access military & restricted government facilities (required: US citizen or green card holder)
