Working Student - Performance & Improvement MRO Value Stream (d/f/m)

You are a full time student looking for an interesting and challenging working student position Then apply now! We look forward to you supporting us in the Performance & Improvement (P&I) team for the MRO (Maintenance Repair and Overhaul) Value Stream (TAOMIP) as a working student (d/f/m) with approx. 18 hours a week!

We are looking for a Working Student to join our team in Hannover/Langenhagen who will make a strong and positive impact to our team by supporting us on our joint transnational improvement and team development journey.

  • Location: Hannover/Langenhagen
  • Start: as soon as possible
  • Duration: 3-6 months

Definition working student
Working students are students who are enrolled at a University or some other institution of higher education and who are employed in a reasonably long fixed-term position parallel to their studies. This position must not be confused with an internship or with the possibility of writing a final thesis.
This employment usually takes place directly on the companys premises. A working students main focus remains on their studies which is why during term-time working students are not allowed to work more than 20 hours per week.
Working students therefore usually work near their place of study so as to conveniently combine studying and employment.

Wunstorf is located in the immediate vicinity of Hanover the state capital of Lower Saxony and directly on the Steinhuder Meer. The workplace is located at the air force base with direct contact to customer and product.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Support the transnational MRO P&I team in our day-to-day business in Hannover/Langenhagen as well as strategic initiatives across all relevant Airbus Defence and Space sites in Germany and Spain.
  • Support the local TAOMAW Multi Functional Team from a P&I perspective. This will include but is not limited to support in our daily activities linked to the deployment of the Operational Excellence System (OES) and Performance Management routines such as our SQCDP panels reports improvement projects communication safety initiatives etc.)
  • You would furthermore support our team development journey through e.g. the preparation of presentations reports team workshops and by being an active driver for change incorporating your own experience and ideas to give new impulses.
  • Contribute to Digitalization and Innovation initiatives.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Enrolled full-time student in the area of Engineering Business Administration or an equivalent field of study.
  • Ability to work in an international and remote team strong team player customer centricity distinct sense of responsibility can-do attitude self-reliant structured flexible and a proactive working style are required for you to be able to support the P&I team.
  • You have a passion for aeronautics.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing Change Management Transformation and Communication are a plus.
  • Fluent in English (German and Spanish language skills are a plus).
