The Train Cleaning and Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for cleaning trains equipmentmaintenance facilities and performing general facility upkeep. This role supports safe andefficient railroad operations by maintaining clean orderly and hazard-free vehicles and workenvironments. All duties must be performed in compliance with Federal RailroadAdministration (FRA) safety regulations company policies and applicable federal standards.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize train interiors including passenger areas operator cabs restroomsfloors and surfaces.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment maintenance facilitiesworkshops and storage areas.
Perform general facility maintenance tasks such as trash removal sweepingmopping outdoor upkeep and basic repairs.
Perform basic facility maintenance tasks including minor repairs fixture replacementpainting filter replacements door greasing and general upkeep.
Identify and report safety hazards equipment malfunctions or facility issues tosupervisors.
Ensure all work complies with FRA safety rules and federal regulatory requirements.
Operate cleaning tools chemicals and equipment safely and according to companyguidelines.
Support train readiness by ensuring vehicles are presentable and hazard-free beforeservice.
Follow standard operating procedures and complete required documentation.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience in railroad environments industrial cleaning custodial services orfacility maintenance preferred.
Ability to successfully complete FRA-required training testing and qualificationprocesses.
Ability to read understand and comply with railroad operating and safety rules.
Physically capable of lifting bending standing and performing manual labor in afast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Fluent in English (both verbal and written)
