Our law clerk position will work on a variety of employment-related legal and compliance matters as part of the Legal team. The position will consult regularly with various teammates and internal stakeholders. Areas of responsibility include: employment-related legal questions employee relations matters (including investigations terminations and dispute resolution) Fair Labor Standards Act classifications benefits and leave of absence questions health and safety compliance third-party services contracts and various aspects of compliance with federal state or local employment laws.
NOTE: This position is temporary. It is part-time from the beginninginMarch and transitions to 30-40 hoursper week from May to August. Fully remoteoptionavailablefor March and April. Hybrid or in-office(Conway Arkansas)from May to August.
Working with in-house attorneysand others you willbe responsible for:
Preparinginformation for use inadvice tomanagement on pre-employment and post-employment legal matters
Reviewing and analyzing legalaspects ofemployeerelations mattersfor advice to management
Assistinginthe investigation and resolution ofemployeerelations complaints
Reviewing and analyzingvarious third-party services contracts
Reviewing and analyzing employment law aspectsofproposedclient contracts
Analysis ofvarious employment-related compliance matters including responses to regulators
Assistwith dispute resolution litigationmanagementand document production
Do you have
Completion of one or two years of law school
Tenacity for getting thingsaccomplished with theappropriate leveland sense of urgency
Strong analytical problem-solvingprioritizationand decision-making skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
An appreciation for detail and detail-oriented work
Interest inleveragingtechnology for management of cases and projects
