Job Summary
The Department of Music at Saint Francis Xavier University (St FX) invites applicants for a 9-month Limited Term Position in Jazz and contemporary Guitar for the 2026-2027 academic year. **This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
Candidates should hold a minimum of a masters degree in music with applicable artistic and teaching experience. Candidates will be required to teach applied guitar and a variety of courses from our curriculum based on their experience and department needs. Courses could include selections in Music History Popular Music Ensemble Direction World Music Music Theory Aural Skills or Improvisation. The position is for a teaching load of 18 credit hours.
Artistic and teaching experience may be considered in place of advanced degrees.
