Analyst Origination Intelligence

This position offers a strong focus on agricultural commodities driving commercial excellence through data. It combines deep analytical expertise system proficiency and strategic support to enable informed decision-making and enhance origination performance across the region. This pivotal role is based in our modern office at the Blaak in Rotterdam offering magnificent city views.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Responsible for owning and maintaining origination reports ensuring paramount data accuracy integrity and continuity.
  • Continuously monitor review analyze and enhance existing origination-related reports utilizing Tableau CRM and CRM-A.
  • Lead the development of innovative origination reports in close collaboration with Commercial (Value Chains) Origination Teams in the countries and Business Technology teams.
  • Communicate compelling and strategic insights to regional Origination teams and Value Chains actively supporting informed decision-making.
• Origination Systems Support and Development:
  • Act as a Super User for regional Origination systems and tools (e.g. CRM system) taking a guiding role in their continuous development and successful adoption.
  • Provide excellent first-level support to country origination teams for system issues coordinating seamlessly with Business Technology for complex challenges and leading IT implementations including meticulous deadline management.
  • Actively support system updates enhancements and development initiatives to continuously improve functionality and user experience.
• Daily Operational and Strategic Support:
  • Contribute significantly to the development and successful implementation of the regional Origination Strategy.
  • Prepare impactful presentations visualizations and other strategic materials in collaboration with origination teams across various countries.
  • Efficiently manage ad-hoc requests from Origination leadership and stakeholders

Your Profile

We are seeking a confident proactive and commercially astute senior professional who excels at leveraging data for strategic advantage and possesses strong analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented capable of guiding system development thrives both independently and as part of a collaborative team and is driven by a strong sense of ownership and accountability. You are adept at engaging with diverse stakeholders and influencing outcomes with robust data-driven conclusions.

What We Are Looking For:

• Education:Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance Economics Data Analytics Econometrics or a related quantitative field.
• Experience:
  • 3 years of relevant experience in data analysis business intelligence or commercial support roles preferably in a senior capacity.
  • Proven experience within an internationally operating commodity trading house or a similar environment focused on trading and managing bulk commodities (e.g. agricultural or petrochemicals/oil) is a significant advantage.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Solid understanding of data integrity principles and best practices in reporting.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools particularly PowerBI (tableau CRM-A or similar) is fundamental.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for creating impactful presentations is required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of origination processes within the agricultural industry or proven experience in bulk commodities handling and commodity trading is. is a definite plus.
  • Valuable knowledge of CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and related origination tools with experience in guiding their development is highly regarded.

• Skills:Excellent communication and strong analytical capabilities superb problem-solving abilities a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail and the resilience to perform effectively under pressure. You possess the capability to deliver concise clear and influential presentations to various internal stakeholders.
• Mindset:Autonomous highly eager to learn flexible confident a natural relationship builder a strong problem solver with an inquisitive nature and a commercial mindset complemented by the ability to provide strategic challenge when necessary.
• Languages:Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal is required. Knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
