IMC is currently hiring a Plant Operations II Tech / Electricianto join our team.Undergeneral direction this team member will perform a variety of skilled work in the operationmaintenance and repair of boiler heating air conditioning ventilatinglighting power water water treatment and other mechanical systems normallyfound in a Hospital; may instruct or lead other Technicians; may instruct orlead contract workers; and do other related work.Toassist Plant Operations Director and department staff in any project that maybe required. Performs and completes assigned Scheduled Maintenance Work Orders(PMs) Routine and Emergency Work Orders in allotted and timely manner.Provides Security relatedduties M-F during daylight hours. Maintains cooperative work relationship withothers. Assist in the On Call rotation and respond to emergency repairs. Complywill all Hospital training and safety requirements. Ensure that therequirements of EPA Section 608 are met.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
- High School Graduate or GED equivalent
- Training in de-escalation techniquessuch as Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI); must be able to register withinone year of accepting position.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
- An Operating Engineers license ispreferred
- An EPA Section 608 Refrigeration Certificateis preferred
- Certificate Completion ofApprenticeship Electrical Trades
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have attained eighteenth birthdayat time of appointment.
- Will be required to possess a validLouisiana drivers license at time of appointment.
- An applicant who has been convicted of afelony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified untilrelief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 4 years experience in ahealthcare maintenance or plant operations setting performing duties which included theoperation maintenance and repair of boiler heating refrigerationventilation and power equipment including the operation and maintenance of airconditioning systems involving the use of automatic controls. Residential and light commercialconstruction or maintenance experience does not apply
Minimum 4 years experience as a JourneymanElectrician
PRINCIPLE TASKS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To assist Plant Operations Director anddepartment staff in any project that may be required.
- Performs and completes assignedScheduled Maintenance Work Orders (PMs) Routine and Emergency Work Orders inallotted and timely manner
- Provides Security related duties M-Fduring daylight hours.
- Maintain cooperative work relationshipwith others.
- Assist in the On Call rotation andrespond to emergency repairs
- Comply will all Hospital training and safetyrequirements
- Performs recordkeeping safe handlingdisposal and all other aspects necessary to comply with EPA Section 608Regulations
