Job Summary
Overview
Touros Lander College of Mens is hiring adjunct faculty. Adjuncts are responsible for instruction course preparation developing instructional materials student advisement grading and assessment as a member of the instructional team of a school or academic department.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and delivers lectures to undergraduate students
- Prepare course materials including: syllabi exams homework assignments and handouts
- Creating a classroom environment where students feel comfortable participating and learning
- Preparing students for assessments and providing helpful performance feedback
- Maintains regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist students checking college emails regularly
- Keeping up-to-date with advancements in the field and integrating new knowledge into curriculum
Qualifications
Education/ Experience
- A Masters or the relevant academic field
- Previous college level teaching experience
*Excluding adjuncts working in the athletic department
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
- Demonstrated ability and desire to teach
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Expert knowledge of field
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems
- Performs administrative activities
Maximum Salary
USD $3250.00/Sem
Minimum Salary
USD $2750.00/Sem
