Senior Security DevOps Engineer

What you can expect

As a DevOps Engineer on Zooms Security DevOps team you will independently lead and deliver high impact infrastructure initiatives that power some of Zooms most security-critical production systems including secrets management secure service-to-service delivery PKI and secure deployment role blends software engineering distributed systems operations and security engineering. You will own projects end-to-end from design through production rollout while delivering measurable improvements to the security posture reliability and scalability of the platforms that protect Zoom and its are an experienced engineer who operates with minimal oversight makes sound technical decisions understands DevOps and security/compliance best practices and is recognized as a go-to contributor in at least one critical domain.

About the Team

At Zoom our team delivers the infrastructure that secures production services and sensitive data. We work collaboratively across security platform and engineering partners to solve complex problems. Our team exists to reduce risk and enable safe reliable product delivery.

Responsibilities

Designing and delivering security-focused infrastructure projects from initial concept to production implementation. Operating and enhancing security-critical production services with an emphasis on reliability and resilience. Automating infrastructure and deployment workflows to minimize risk and reduce manual processes. Collaborating with security platform and engineering teams to implement secure system updates effectively. Enhancing observability and leveraging operational data to drive reliability and security advancements.

What were looking for

• Solid years of experience in SRE DevOps or Platform / Infrastructure / Cloud Engineering Show expertise in managing large-scale production environments using Kubernetes-based systems.
• Possess designing or operating security infrastructure (e.g. Vault PKI systems secrets delivery identity systems SDKs/APIs)
• Have experience in at least one programming language used for production systems (e.g. Go Python Java) Demonstrate experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform ArgoCD)
• Able to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitLab Runners
• Have an understanding of observability and production monitoring in distributed systems
• Demonstrate working experience in cloud environments (e.g. AWS OCI)
• Operate and designing infrastructure in AWS GovCloud or other regulated cloud environments (e.g. FedRAMP IL5) with an understanding of compliance and boundary requirements

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
