We invite you to be a part of the UT Southwestern team where youll discover a culture of teamwork professionalism and a rewarding career!JOB SUMMARYJoin our team and help launch the first state psychiatric hospital in Dallas-Fort Worth where innovative caregivers will make a lasting impact on behavioral health in Texas Behavioral Health Center (TBHC) is a newly completed state-funded psychiatric hospital opening in Dallas Southwestern Medical District that is owned by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) and operated by UT Southwestern Medical fully operational the 505000-square-foot facility will house 292 beds 200 for adult patients and 92 for children and adolescents. As DFWs first state-funded behavioral health hospital it is designed to deliver state-of-the-art patient-centered care in a modern and healing environment. The center provides comprehensive behavioral health treatment and features private patient rooms abundant access to natural light and nature and thoughtfully designed spaces that promote recovery. The hospital will also provide training to all behavioral health employees of UTSouthwestern team members will join a world-class academic medical center committed to patient-centered care innovation interdisciplinary collaboration and preparing patients for successful reintegration into their families and communities. With competitive benefits and a mission-driven culture TBHC offers an unparalleled opportunity to make a lasting impact on mental health care in North Behavioral Health Center (TBHC) is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide onsite primary care services for patients admitted to our new behavioral health Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will be responsible for addressing patients primary care needs managing chronic conditions conducting assessments and coordinating care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary behavioral health team. This position plays a key role in ensuring continuity of care during a critical period of stabilization and : Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts 8: 00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. no Candidate: Strong primary care background as an APP. Experience in forensic correctional behavioral health or institutional settings preferred. Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area and patient population. OR Graduate of a Masters degree or higher. Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program. Licenses and CertificationsLicensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by Texas State Board of Nursing. Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing. OR Licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board. AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association or Red Cross based on the UT Southwestern policy for Advanced Practice Providers.
