As DFWs first state-funded behavioral health hospital it is designed to deliver state-of-the-art patient-centered care in a modern and healing environment. The center provides comprehensive behavioral health treatment and features private patient rooms abundant access to natural light and nature and thoughtfully designed spaces that promote recovery. With competitive benefits and a mission-driven culture TBHC offers an unparalleled opportunity to make a lasting impact on mental health care in North Behavioral Health Center (TBHC) is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide onsite primary care services for patients admitted to our new behavioral health Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will be responsible for addressing patients primary care needs managing chronic conditions conducting assessments and coordinating care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary behavioral health team. This position plays a key role in ensuring continuity of care during a critical period of stabilization and : Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts 8: 00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. no Candidate: Strong primary care background as an APP. Experience in forensic correctional behavioral health or institutional settings preferred. Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area and patient population. OR Graduate of a Masters degree or higher. Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program. Licenses and CertificationsLicensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by Texas State Board of Nursing. Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing. OR Licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board.
