Job Summary
Its Day 1 for Amazons next billion dollar business and we are looking for an entrepreneurial minded Senior Financial Analyst to work in a start-up environment who is passionate about technology manufacturing and FP&A who thinks/acts globally and has the ability to create and implement solutions processes and controls.
Amazon Leo seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support the growing FP&A team and build new financial analysis and reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to shape financial processes from the ground up in a new high-growth team.
The ideal candidate will be strategic analytical and have a demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. This role requires regular interaction with senior executives various business units and multiple stakeholders across Amazon requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial analysis and reporting
- Create and automate monthly financial reports for senior leadership
- Build scalable financial models and processes to support the teams growth
- Provide strategic insights to drive data-driven decision making
- Build out and enhance P&L models for new and existing businesses develop business insights and KPI dashboards and lead ad hoc analyses
- Work with big data transforming it into insights and information
- Identify opportunities to proactively resolve defects; improve scale or simplify finance tools across teams and organizations
- Participate in Finance initiatives including but not limited to process improvements ad hoc analyses and preparation of periodic reporting activities
- 3 years of finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelors degree
- Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
- 4 years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- Experience in SQL or other relational databases
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards) or experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL MS Power Query Python)
- Experience in positions that require analysis and reporting financial results
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership or experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
