Leggett & Platt is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our cloud infrastructure team at the IDEA Center in Lenexa Kansas. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a close-knit team in a global organization. We are seeking someone with high attention to detail who is teachable and a flexible team player.

As a Cloud Engineer you will have the opportunity to develop deploy and debug systems as well as executing new cloud initiatives. The team you will be working with is collaborative and innovative and values strategic thinking and attention to detail.

So what you will be doing as our Cloud Software Engineer:

• Regularly evaluate cloud applications hardware and software
• Develop and organize cloud systems
• Work closely with IT security
• Offer guidance in infrastructure techniques
• Create a well-informed cloud strategy
• Document the work in detailed easy to follow language

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Bachelors degree in computer science computer engineering information technology or relevant field
• Knowledge of architecture maintenance and administration of Linux servers
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and scripting languages to deploy maintain and support cloud infrastructure
• Knowledge of virtual networks and general network management functions
• Knowledge of cloud database management skills
• Proficiency in containerization tools and understanding Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge to deploy and run application software on virtual machines
• At least 2 years of experience with cloud services
• Strong interpersonal skills (communication teamwork dependability)

Things we consider a plus:

• Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer Expert
• Microsoft Applied Skills: Create an AI agent
• Familiarity with development methodologies such as TDD and BDD
