At Fresenius Medical Care we are in search of an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Officer who possesses drive energy and most importantly a genuine passion for the role.

While having experience in healthcare is advantageous we actively encourage candidates from various backgrounds to bring diverse perspectives to our team. Ideally candidates will hold a NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) but if you are working towards or yet to start your NEBOSH General Certificate we are able to offer partial or full funding for the right candidate. Were looking for someone who wants to kick start their career in Health and Safety in an interesting and diverse work environment.

As our EHS officer will report in to our EHS Lead and will work as part of the Integrated Management Systems your daily role you will promote a positive culture throughout the Organisation and actively promote the EHS Management Systems. Part of your role will include working closely with the various departments that support our Care Delivery organisation. Here you will get to test your new or emerging EHS knowledge and skills by providing support and advice on EHS matters under the guidance of our EHS Lead.

This is a hybrid full-time role of 37.5 hours Monday to Friday. You will be required to attend our Care Delivery Head Office at least once a week. A full UK drivers licence is required for this role.

What does the role involve

You will:

• Promote the Organisations EHS Management Systems
• Support and promote the companys EHS System.
• Provide general day to day advice and assistance to Department and Clinic Managers as required.
• Carry out internal Health & Safety Audits in all areas of the business.
• Review incident reports and analyse data to identify areas for continual improvement.
• Identify potential areas for improvement and work with the EHS Lead to implement them.
• Provide support with assessing risk and documenting your findings.
• Ensure that the Fresenius Medical Care Sustainability Policy is promoted and communicated with all stakeholders.
