Job Description:

Role Summary

As theDirectorGlobal Media & Contentyou willbe responsible fordefining and executing a cohesive engaging and measurableglobal brandcontent strategy across all digital channels for our global brandwith theobjectiveof driving stronger client experience and engagement with our brand.

Reporting to the AVP of Global Brand & Marketing you will lead twohighly integrated functions:ContentStrategy &ProductionandCorporate Design. This role requires a visionary leader with a proventrack recordin driving brand awareness engagement and business results through world-classbrandcontent.

What will you do

1. Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Develop a unified data-drivenglobal brandcontent strategythat aligns with brand goals marketingobjectives and business priorities.

  • Serve as thestrategic leadfor theglobalcontent ecosystem ensuring message and visual consistency across paid owned and earned media channels.Yourobjectivewill be to have a clear view of content produced globally and act as a centre of excellence foroptimizingand scaling global brand content.

  • Work closely with the Director Marketing Strategy and Growth to manage and prioritize the content pipelinecreativeexecutionand resource allocation acrosschannelsaccording to thecontent strategy.

  • Establish and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for content effectiveness andcreativestudio efficiency presenting results and insights to executive leadership.

2. Content Strategy & Governance

  • Lead the development ofaglobal brand content strategy that focuses on activation across owned and paidchannels developing a variety offormatsto address target audience needs and journey stages.

  • Managing Martech toolsto deliver on this mandate including AdobeGenStudio Adobe Creative Cloud and FireflyandanAI-basedvideoproductiontool(currently being assessed).

  • Partner closely with corporate communications corporate function and compliance teams to oversee the content governance model including workflow processes and quality assurance.

3.Content Production

  • Direct the ContentProductionteam(e.g. designersmotion designer copywriter) to produce high-quality on-brand creative assets for all channels and internal stakeholders.

  • Oversee the development of brand assets(photography illustrations icons templatesetc.)to ensuremarketing practitioners and employeeshave access to on-brand assets inour brand asset management system.

  • Streamline the intake and delivery process for creative requestsoptimizingfor efficiencyspeedand quality.

  • Foster a culture of creativity innovation and continuous improvement in design and production techniques.

  • Developand drive abrand assetmanagement strategythetechnology toolsprocessandcapabilitiestodriveefficiencyand scale across theorganization.You will review and assessthe current tooland propose amodernized solution tohelp usgain pace quality andscale whileenabling best-in-classsystems.This will include managinglicensingagreements andassets that need to be sunset.

4. Corporate Design

Lead the team responsible for managing the following:

  • Global Brand Assets and the Global Brand Asset Repository

  • SupportoccasionalCorporateDesign requests:theCorporatefunctionsometimesrequireson-brandPhotos PDF posters images resizing typesetting reports (eg.our SustainabilityReport) internal and leader requests templates technical guidelines

  • Developing AI prompts to create best-in-class branded content using GenAi technology

  • Corporate Brand Reviews: creative and technical design reviews

What do you need to succeed

  • 10 yearsof progressive experience in marketing digital marketing ormarketingcommunications with a minimum of5 years in a senior leadership roleoverseeing content social media and/or creative teams.

  • Proven experience developing and executingglobal multi-channel contentand designstrategiesin a large complex organization.

  • Strongunderstanding ofcreative production art directionsocial media platforms analytics reporting tools and evolving digital trends.

  • Experience working within aregulated industry(e.g. financial services healthcare) with a strong understanding of compliance and legal review.

  • Exceptional executive-level communication and presentation skills with the ability totranslate complex data into clear actionable business insightsfor senior leadership.

  • Experience managinglarge teamsandworking withcreativevendors/platforms.

  • Bachelors degree inCreative BrandMarketingCommunicationsor a related field.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other addition to Base Pay eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
