About the Role

As a Technical Business Analyst youll work closely with stakeholders and delivery teams to shape digital products and solutions that truly make a difference. Youll turn data user insights and business needs into clear requirements technical specifications and acceptance criteria that guide successful delivery. Using a mix of analytical thinking user research and collaboration youll ensure our digital experiences are intuitive impactful and aligned with organisational goals. Youll also have the flexibility to apply the right analysis approach for each initiativewhether predictive agile or a blend of both.

What Youll Bring:

Strong technical skills

  • An understanding of IT and cyber security solutions and technologies across firewalls Networks Operating systems Environment management IT Infrastructure Data
  • Ability to communicate understand and summarise discussions with a wide range of technical subject matter experts.
  • conceptualise complex IT requirements
  • Understanding of interdependencies of IT systems and services
  • Understanding of upstream and downstream dependencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong stakeholder management skills

  • An ability to see the bigger picture / to understand context
  • An ability to facilitate/negotiate competing visions from stakeholders

Strong communication skills

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Active listening
  • Concise articulation
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders

Workshop facilitation skills

  • Strong experience with group facilitation workshops leading discussions and influencing outcomes with technical SMEs

Proactive and independent

  • Largely self-managing
  • Skills in the construction and planning of approaches to deliver outcomes.
  • Able to operate within a dynamic team and adapt to shifting project priorities.
  • Able to adapt to rapid change based on project needs.
  • Able to work across multiple parallel workstreams.

Preferred but not mandatory:

  • Australian Signals Directorate Essential 8 knowledge (ASD8).
  • Knowledge of SCADA or critical infrastructure environments is an advantage.
  • Experience with IT security products and solutions

Qualification and Experience:

  • 3 years BA experience working within IT Infrastructuresecurity Projects and similar roles
  • Experience with Asset inventory CMDB related analysis and data collation.
  • Strong experience with group facilitation workshops leading discussions and influencing outcomes
  • Experience working with technical SMEs in information discovery
  • Experience in the construction of Taxonomy systems related to IT Data
  • Experience in analysing large volumes of /or complex data and information
  • Experience in the construction of centralised CMDB or related asset data sources
  • Experience in construction of process to maintain data sources.
